Other trips...Table Rock State Park Smoky Mountains
We were fortunate enough to take quick trips to the Smoky Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean while we were in South Carolina. We stayed in a cabin inside Table Rock State Park for a couple of days and went hiking there and at Ceasars Head State Park. We decided to do a hike to get the Raven Cliff Falls and once we finished the short hike, you could only see the falls from a distance.
Being the ambitious Smith's we are, we wanted to get closer and decided to take another trail without looking at the degree of difficulty. ha! And, it was hard! We ended up doing a 12 mile hike to the top of Raven Clliff Falls and it was so cold that the falls were frozen in mid air. It was freezing! We did a 12 mile hike to the top of Raven Cliff Falls and it was so cold the falls were frozen in mid air - It was beautiful but hard. Once you reached the top and crossed the falls by the suspension bridge, there was a spectacular view of the area.
The way down was much easier than the way up and we had a great time talking and enjoying the changing leaves. That night we went to a fun restaurant in downtown Greenville (very cool!) to celebrate our accomplishment. Then, the rest of the week...we were sore!
