I absolutely love Easter. The older I get, the more I understand, the better Easter becomes to me. It's always been special since 2,000 years ago but it seems to take on more and more life as I experience life year after year. Our church, Liberty Community Church, has a sunrise service every year. We left our house at 5:45 to get there in time and once Mike started preaching it was just coming up. Beautiful! (And look at where we were last year at Easter - click here.) Mike's parents came down yesterday and joined us, along with Allison and Brad. So of course having family here makes it even more special. Happy Resurrection Day everyone! The rest of the day has been spent at home - just the three of us - sleeping, watching movies, playing, sitting in the quiet, awwww - lovely Sabbath. And a great reminder that the Sabbath was made possible by what took place thousands of years ago. His Kindness and Loveliness and Graciousness are ever abounding and i'm sure were displayed on the cross and again in his eyes when he arose. I am certainly so thankful for that Saviour. I'm thankful it's a reality.
Enjoy some pictures from our day.
She got a little sleepy - hence the "let me down" look.
The soon-to-be Shamblin's and the Smith's
The Smith's - 3 generations
The Smith Grandparents and the little cutie (as Susy likes to call Bella)
And picture overload and our sweet Bella. You should click on each individual photo to see it larger - her expressions are priceless - and this was mainly written to the grandparents who probably already do this to each picture. She loves to take off running outside - with her mouth open - usually yelling or squealing. The little easter basket was made by the lady who works in her daycare. She crocheted one for each of the kiddos. That's a keepsake!
And more pictures - just because we can't get enough of her!
