Vacation week: Post 4 - The final smattering of vacation pictures

And, to the final posting for our vacation. We started the last day with Bella crawling around in all her cuteness! She's getting quick and wants to go lick the furniture. Why? I'm not sure... Don't you just love this one!Uh, oh! Look at me trying to take a step!

When she gives this face, are we suppost to give her what she wants? Uhm, too stinkin' cute to say no to anything! We're in trouble.
I love the pictures of Bella playing piano with her Granddad. I grew up taking lessons from my dad who is an incredible piano player. I wish I was half as good as he is. One of the neatest moments of my wedding is when he arranged and played "Great is thy Faithfulness". I still can't hear the song without getting teared up. Some very special moments in my childhood and at Wayland were listening to my dad play the piano and playing songs myself. My parents babysat while Mike, Allison and I went to the 10 year class reunion. Here's a little of what they did that night. Yes, I think they had fun!
We went swimming one afternoon to let our "little fish" experience the water again.

Look at this little diva. These pictures are from the morning we went to my grandparents house. While we were in Lubbock we went to visit a college friend and fellow blogger - Ashley Sinclair. Her precious little one is close to Bella's age so we've had fun blogging about our new mommy adventures. She has a great store in Lubbock for you New Mexico/West Texas readers. It's Ribbons and Bows on 82nd and I would be in trouble if we lived in Lubbock since I would shop there all the time. Ya'll check it out! Ashley is such a neat friend and beautiful girl (she is a former Miss Wayland - she won because she's a sickeningly talented singer/guitar player, super nice, and HOTT!). Ashley, i'm glad we've gotten to reconnect through the maze we lovingly call blog-world.

Vacation week: Post 3 - Picnic time

We had some suuussweettt picnic times on vacation! Like i've said before, the backyard is gorgeous. And, mom made some fantabulous salads with organic lettuce, tomatoes, green, red, and orange peppers, avocado, cheese, nuts, and grilled tilipia or salmon. Yes, I was in heaven! As shown by the pictures we had a great time on these nights.

We could barely eat our salads because Bella was ALL over the place trying to get her some grub. Here she is asking Granddad for some...
And, now she's reaching up for it about to knock his plate over. Notice my dad's expression of laughter and "no no"- priceless!

Bella was playing with myself and granddad when she spotted Mike sitting on the deck. And, here is her reaction! If pictures could come with sound she would be squealing and laughing and so excited to see her daddy! Precious end to a night!

Vacation week: Post 2 - Day 1 with Nana and Granddad

We spent the first day in Lovington hanging out with my parents. Before Bella and I went running we played on the floor with my childhood toys. Then our run consisted of running from one end of Lovington to the next...don't get too impressed...it's small. In the majority of the pictures, Bella is chewing on something. She now has four teeth and I think she's working on another one, the little drool-baby!

Later in the day, we played again! She loved those blocks with Granddad! I LOVE this one! "I want to give you some shugah Granddad" (which in Bella-terms consist of lots of drool and licks and lovin'!)"Hey guys, what's up!"

The little stinker LOVES to dive bomb off the couch (don't worry everyone...we are ALWAYS there when we put her on the couch). At home, we'll put her between us and she'll leap off the edge of the couch - with both of us holding onto her. We'll let her do a headstand and then pick her back up. She thinks it's the funniest thing...I think it made my dad nervous. Sorry dad!

At the end of a great day, we fed the fish with Granddad. One of my favorite things to do when I go home is to hang out in the backyard. The backyard is so calming and peaceful and full of life (yes, that's why I hug and talk to trees). I'm glad Bella is getting older so she can enjoy it. She wasn't sure about the fish but she sure enjoyed kicking in the water.Check out a little peace of Heaven - also known as my parents backyard.
