And, this semester is officially over - Halleluyer!! It's been a long semester with sickness and papers and more sickness and lots of papers and preaching and a toddler with sickness...So, needless to say we (especially Mike) is excited for a break in the summer. Mr. 4.0 grade point average rocked on all his papers. And because i'm the very-proud-wifey i'll brag on him - he received 97's or higher on all his papers and one of his teachers told him his paper was the best he'd read at Truett - way to go babe! Once Friday night hit and everything was submitted we had a weekend of celebration! Saturday morning was full of a family walk in the park (and it was perfect-Emily-weather of 70's, overcast, beautiful!), then the hubby made pancakes and eggs and sausage, then we were off the zoo and Barnes and Nobles in Waco after Bella slept a little bit (and the day was still beautiful outside). Bella wasn't too interested in the animals but that's ok. We had a great time as a family and Mike and I enjoyed the animals...we can always use the excuse of "we have to go to the zoo (or Disneyland or Six Flags, etc) because our child wants to go." ha! Here's a recap of her first trip to the zoo!We enjoyed a lunch by the river part of the zoo and then we were off!
Bella stayed in her stroller for, oh, maybe 5 minutes and then...
Sweet little Miss wanted to walk... and run..
and walk some more (notice the jogging stroller being left behind)...
And, push the stroller. We received alot of funny looks and comments from parents who had been-there-done-that. She was happy and pushed that all over the zoo! Of course with a little help from us.
And we're pushing another way.
"I want down!"
"so, I can push the stroller again"
Here's a profile shot - mainly for the grandparents that want to see closeups!
Auntie Ali, here's the flamingos!
Little cutie with the ponytail on top of her head!
This was one of the rare moments that Bella actually looked at the animals. She has three of these in her room so I wondered if she was trying to figure out if she could hug it.
And, she looked at the elephants. She has one of those in her room too.
Mother's Day was the next day and the celebrations continued. I enjoyed a HUGE breakfast cooked for me, sweet presents and cards from the hubby, Bella and ittybittysmithy #2, grilled hamburgers for lunch and a picnic outside, being lazy the rest of the day, going to the Olive Garden with Brad and Allison and watching movies with Mike. Perfect day and a beautiful ending to a celebration weekend!
My sweet little girl. I could just eat her up!
